New features for homes booking exclusive staff

We’ve updated Florence to help your care home group book shifts with exclusive staff, and have visibility of any non-exclusive staff working with you.

New features

We’re released several updates this week to help you book exclusive staff associated with your home.

          1. Homes can now view lists of exclusive workers

You will now be able to see a list of exclusive workers available to book for your home.

This is what it looks like:

You can also add nurses and carers to your favourites list as seen on the list of options on the left.

Regional managers will have access to view all staff available for the homes they manage.

          2.Identify exclusive staff on shift invites page

You’re able to invite exclusive staff to a shift from the shift invites page.

This helps make sure exclusive staff apply for your shifts first.

          3. Identify exclusive staff on applications page

You’re also able to see which exclusive staff have applied for a shift from the applications page.

This makes it simple to approve exclusive staff for shifts. 

          4. Warning on non-exclusive staff applications

If you need to select a non-exclusive worker to pick up a shift, you’ll receive a warning message.

The message looks like this:  

If you select ‘Approve’, this will book the non-exclusive staff member, and trigger an email to the home’s regional manager so they're aware.

          5. Non-exclusive staff notified of shift rules

Non-exclusive staff also get a warning message when applying, to make them aware of your shift rules for any non-exclusives - eg a dated negative Covid-19 test to show to the shift manager on arrival.

Your exclusive staff won’t get this warning when they apply. 

           6. Exclusive staff restrictions 

Staff with an exclusive contract will only be able to apply for shifts at their contracted home, and won’t be able to book in anywhere else over the contract dates. 

An icon on their profile alerts them they’re in an exclusive contract with you.

The icon looks like this:

If they click on the icon, they will get a pop-up details of their contract.

This helps exclusive staff remain exclusive to your home.
