New: Posting Shifts on Florence has been Updated

We’ve updated the way you post shifts on Florence.

You'll now find your nurse and carer presets available within each unit, reducing the risk of posting a shift at the wrong rate.

Presets are also now edited from your admin page.

How to post new shifts

If you post shifts for one location...

  • To begin, click 'book a shift' as usual when you login.
  • This will take you to the new shift-posting process...

1. Select worker type you need

Select worker type you need
  • Select if you need a nurse or carer.

2. Select shift preset

Select shift preset
  • Pick the preset you need.

3. Set shift date

Set shift date
  • Select the date you need the shift for.

4. Review summary of shift

  • See a summary of the shift information
  • Click the purple labels to edit any information
  • Click 'post shifts' button to put the shift live.
  • Send invites by keeping the checkbox checked.

If you post shifts for multiple locations...

  • To begin, click 'book a shift' as usual when you login.
  • This will take you to the new shift-posting process...

  • Select the location and unit where you need to post a shift.

2. Select worker type you need

Select worker type you need
  • Select if you need a nurse or carer.

3. Select shift preset

Select shift preset
  • Pick the preset you need.

4. Set shift date

Set shift date
  • Select the date you need the shift for.

5. Review summary of shift

  • See a summary of the shift information
  • Click the purple labels to edit any information
  • Click 'post shifts' button to put the shift live.
  • Send invites by keeping the checkbox checked.

Add and edit presets

Adding and editing shift presets has moved to the admin section for your care home location(s).

  • To begin, click in to your 'Company' section after logging in.
  • Follow the steps below to add or edit shift presets...

1. Select 'Units' and then 'Edit'

  • Click the 'edit' button for the unit you want to add or edit a preset for.

2. Scroll to  'Shift presets'

  • Scroll down to see your list of shift presets
  • Click 'edit' to edit any associated presets.
  • Click 'Create a new preset' link in purple text below the list to add a preset
  • Click 'Update Unit' button at the button to save.
