We’re changing our coronavirus safety measures so we can better protect everyone using Florence.

To do this, we'll need our nurses and carers to take a weekly COVID-19 test, and help us keep track of the results. 

We're doing this to ensure residents, care homes and care-givers can stay safe, and help limit the potential spread of the virus.

What should nurses and carers do?

1. Book a free test

Book free coronavirus tests through the government website here. Please book a new test every seven days.

You also may be able to access a free weekly test via a care home you work with (more on this here) - but this isn't available at all care homes yet.

2. Email test results to us

You'll receive your result by text or email within 48 hours of taking the test.

Please email a screenshot of your result, including the date it was received, to [email protected] on a weekly basis.

3. Book shifts confidently

The date of your last negative test will be visible to care homes on your Florence profile, so you can both feel confidence in working together.

Those recording a positive test will be limited from booking shifts via Florence for at least ten days, and will be able to work with us again once recovered.
