Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established care plans, local policies, and procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient’s health status, including physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as healthcare providers prescribe, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices and within the scope of your registration and practice.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in their condition, promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to patients’ needs and preferences.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards, including any incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
- Stay informed about developments in nursing practice and participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a variety of healthcare settings
- Experienced clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
