Responsibilities:

  1. Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established care plans, local policies, and procedures.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient’s health status, including physical, emotional, and social needs.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices and within the scope of your registration and practice.
  4. Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in their condition, promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to patients’ needs and preferences.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards, including any incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  8. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
  10. Stay informed about developments in nursing practice and participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

 

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  2. Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a variety of healthcare settings
  3. Experienced clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  5. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
