Florence wins award for “Start Up of the Year” In Silicon Valley-based awards

We are excited to announce that Florence has won the Bronze prize for the ‘Start Up of the Year’ category at the 2020 Golden Bridge Awards. We’re the only UK healthtech company to be awarded!

The Golden Bridge Awards recognises achievements in business and innovation and the contest is judged by leading industry professionals from around the world.

What we’re being recognized for

Our unique app and online platform has been recognised as an innovative business product by demonstrating its efficiency and effectiveness in solving staffing shortages in the UK care industry.

Over the last 12 months, we have increased our coverage of nurses and care workers to include the entirety of the UK. What’s more, nurses have gained more control over their schedules thanks to the fairer and more flexible system, collectively earning £20m thanks to Florence.

Put simply, we have demonstrated that Florence is exactly what the market needs to maintain staffing consistency and ensuring fair pay.

A word from Charles

Our CEO and Florence co-founder Charles Armitage said;

“We couldn’t be more excited to be named a Bronze winner for ‘Start Up of the Year’. We’re so proud of what we’ve been able to achieve for the UK care industry, and honored that Golden Bridge Awards has put us on the map for creating an innovative product.”

The award will be presented at a virtual ceremony on 7th of December. We’d like to thank Golden Bridge Awards for the recognition, and we look forward to the challenge of living up to standards set by previous illustrious category winners.
