We’re pleased to announce that the way ratings are given on Florence is changing.
Here’s what’s changing and why.
We’re now making it optional for care homes to rate a nurse or carer every time they work a shift at your home.
Instead you will be given the choice to rate someone as we’d still love to know if a nurse or carer has done a great job.
We are also reducing the number of ratings on Florence from six down to two. If you choose to, care providers will be asked to give an overall rating based on a nurse or carers’ performance on shift.
The reliability rating will remain the same and be automatically updated based on whether a shift is cancelled or not by a nurse or carer.

Why we’ve decided to make these changes
We took into account feedback from Florence users and want to make sure that each rating is a true reflection of the experience a home has had working with a Florence nurse or carer.
By having less categories in our rating system, we hope that it will take less time for homes to provide a more accurate rating.
We hope the new rating system provides a more dependable score for care providers to refer to when choosing a Florence nurse or carer for their shift.
